is the only difference between a T34.48 turbo to a T34.63 turbo just the exhaust housing? i thought turbine wheels were larger also?

thanks for the reply! what i dont understand is how just the housing can make the difference, i thought it would be the turbine wheel being bigger is what made the turbo laggier?

Just the housing.....

Look at it this way, the 48 is a smaller hole than the 63. The turbo will take a more time to build the pressure if the air escapes through a bigger hole than it does a little hole.

Make sense??

Theres not massive amounts of lag difference tbh. The T34 is a great turbo and if you want it in the middle then theres a .55 housing too.

Yeah Ern's right there, i like alot of us on here have had the 48 55 and now my current 63, if i'm being totally honest my old 3dr on a NMS Live Map with the .48 housing on was probably the best road cossie i've had for pound for pound punch & fun, the .63 pulls harder than the .48 but alittle lazier at doing so, BUT not dreadful lag as somw will have you think..

IMO if you're on greens then go for a 48 or 55 but if you're going bigger, like greys, then go for 55 or a 63.

If you're on greens but are thinking you may possibly one day go greys then go for a 55
