super sensitive brake light switch
the switch that turns my brake lights on is so sensitive that a bump will make my lights flicker, after a little investigation it seems that the pedal isn't depressing quite as far at it should, I can actualy use my hand to pull it up the rest of the way. is there any adjustments I can make to get the pedal to come up further?
This is a MK2 mondeo ghiaX V6
Thanks for any help

never mind I got it fixed. simple, pull the switch out, then pull the pin till it comes out as far as possible, push the pedal back a little i think i pushed it back a mil or 2 then push the plug back in and release the pedal, thats it, job done
Just keep an eye on the locking part, these can strip the threads leaving the switch getting pushed back too far and same problem again, just leave pedal as it is, rotate switch in the locking ring push towards the floor a little so the plunger is pushed in a bit more, rotate back to lock in that position.

Hi Tabetha, I got the issue fixed, it was the switch at fault, the guarage that recently fitted the new ABS unit told us they made all the adjustmeants but evidently they never did the switch, all is working now though
