Can anyone help? I've just bought a '92 Sierra P100 pick-up with the 1.8 TD motor. It's a really tidy truck with only 55,000 and never carried a brick. I really like it but it's so low geared - revving quite hard even at 60 mph. I don't pull any weight with it and so don't need the low gears and am thinking about swapping to a Sierra car gearbox. I know the back end is basically a Transit set-up, with a live axle and cart springs, but can I fit a car gearbox without too much hassle, and if so, what box do I need from what car and does anybody have one for sale?

It will b the diff ratio not the gearbox

 

i have a p100 1.8td and my gear box went hard to get a p100 in ireland so had to use a sierra petrol box had to change in in put shaft its longer on the p100 made no change to the ratio youll have to cange the diff to change the ratio
