Sounds to me that when the engine gets hotter a seal or something is letting oil past, probably your turbo on it's way out or could be valve stem oil seals or even piston rings, what's the history on your turbo ? Might need rebuilding if it's been used/ragged alot

The boost fluctuation Could be a faulty actuator, the smoke could be the valve stem seals yes they went on my fiesta but it's a bit weird y yours seems to do it when the engine is hotter than normal (after a bit of abuse) then goes back to not smoking when driven normally. When the valve stem seals go they tend to leak oil when engine is cold because the rubber goes hard and gets softer with the heat, not 100% sure so wait and see if anyone with a bit more knowledge on that can tell you a bit more lol could even be your piston rings see try a compression test,
Also try and note how much oil you go through after say 200 miles

It's not weird at all, all Cossies drink a bit of oil, it's nothing new. Even on the early Cosworths the filler cap said something like "Check oil regularly" and i think in the handbooks it said "Carry a can of oil with you because it will need topping up every 500 miles" something along those lines.

Do you have an oil temperature / pressure gauge?

It could well be the start of stem seals on their way out, as you say the oil gets thinner the hotter it gets and can creep past the seals. I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet but it will probably get worse over time.

Yes they can be changed in situ, but may not be the stem seals, oil gets thinner with heat, thinner oil is used quicker, what grade oil are you using ?, if it has a few miles on it I'd be using a 60 weight like mobil 1 10W60 from matt lewis for example, or if not many miles a 50 weight would be ok, anything thinner and it drinks the stuff if on std(old) engine parts.
In the last 400 miles on my engine(new build) it has not used a drop, but I have a step gap seal in the turbo, as this is where a lot of the oil goes.

bottom end has done aprox 26000 miles,, im useing 10/50 oil and my turbo has a staggered rear oil seal.
i have now fitted a oil cooler to see if this helps and although its no were ner as bad as it was it still doing it it a little.

does the compression sound about right?? the info i found said it should be 8.5 bar at cranking wide open throttle
