Zetec MAF Wiring
hey guys
got my Zetec kinda sorted out now, still running a little lumpy but getting there :0)
heres my latest discovery, which i always seem to find on second hand wiring looms, even when they are sold as uncut!!
this is the maf wiring, car idle always funny when wiggled... *haha wiggled* and seeing as i had to repair almost every other plug on the loom, i gave this the benefit of a doubt and left it as it was, this is what i found when i gave in to the voices in my head telling me to take a look at the wiring for it....

i mean who even does that??? seriously its about as hard to solder as it is to tie shoe laces
one of the crimps fell off when i unwrapped it, could be a cause of a running problem?? maybe!!
anyway, i have started to repair the loom and rejoin using solder and heatshrink heres where i'm at now

here is my question... as this is where ford find it funny to have 2 wires the same colour go to the same part of the car...
i know one wire goes to pin 9 and the other to pin 50 on the ECU but what way round do they go on the MAF plug?
pin 1 - brown red stripe - joins ECU ?
pin 2 - brown red stripe - joins ECU?
pin 3 - brown - joins to earth points and ECU pin 40
pin 4 - Blank
pin 5 - black - joins to injectors and many other black wires
and this is how i'm going to finish off the repaired loom...

courtesey to Mr Paul Cheshire (zetaboostboy522bhp) who mades looms like this... i have just copied it, but giving him the credit he deserves, they look great like this, if it wasnt such a ball ache for me to do it, i'd do the whole engine loom like it
please help me, i wanna finish this damn thing...

i dug this out from the haynes manual, and cut out all the irrelevant wires

would i be right in saying the poorly positioned arrow (in the red circle) denotes the direction of air flow????
