is there a specific order to tighten the bolts on a xr3i sump?

I've just taken my sump due a pin size hole that has Been repaired then the sump will be painted and refitted is there a order to tighten the bolts like middle outwards or outwards in?

No, there isn't but it's good practice to start from the middle and work outwards evenly.

do it in stages as well ie hand tight then to torque setting
