Default difficulty starting s2 rst

my rst does not start well from cold turns over for about 30 secs before it catches and needs plenty of throttle.
so far I have changed dizzy, leads, plugs, cap, rotor arm, fuel pump relay and the metering head.
The strange thing was when I fitted the metering head it fired straight away but after switching off the problem came back.
Once it has warmed up it starts first time.
Any ideas greatly appreciated

Check the fuse to the heated seats.

Ok.
Are you confident that all the rear plenum electrical plugs are in the right place?

This can cause it and very often does.

blue plug to cold start injector
brown plug to sensor below injector
black plug to aux air valve
yellow to sensor under inlet manifold
green plug for the knock sensor is not fitted due to someone fitting an early s2 manifold.
If this is correct then the plugs are fitted in the right order, knock sensor wouldn't make a difference would it?
When it starts it runs rough for a minute or so as though there is too much fuel.

there is power at the box.
r u thinking its definately a problem on the fuelling side? cos the only thing that hasn't been changed is the fuel ecu itself which I was going to try at the weekend

well.. it requires more fuel to run when cold. Its that simple really.

Other common option is coolant temperature sensor... Il BTTT a post on main forum if i can find it about this item mate
