Hiya there,

my mate has lost the last key for his 1996 Scorpio. Is there any way to fool the immobilizer? Probably not best to discuss this openly but any PM would be greatly appreciated.

Also can anyone tell me how the system works? I guess each key has a factory set code so if you want to program in a new key, you tell the ECU to recognize and accept that code? Or do you program the actual key?

Ford should be able to supply a new key, you will then ahve to programe this to your ecu

 

This will be the PATS with the red master key and it's a Ford job to program this key, you need this to program additional keys.
