In need of some advise/help here. I have just got a 1999 2.0 Zetec ESP .
Would the following by ok to use on here as have them spare from my old car....
680 Amp battery
5/40 Quartz 9000 fully synthetic oil ( I have read 5/30 semi/synth for the Zetec engine)
STP fuel injection cleaner
All of the above are brand new, just did not get round to fitting them to my old car before she sold.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The batteries fine if it fits, just check that your car wasn't originally equipped with a CALCIUM battery, if it was the charge rate will be too high for a NON CALCIUM battery if that's what yours is that you're asking about.
Although the zetec is specified for a 5W30, this was more down to economy, a 5w/40 oil will be fine, and I have used a 5W40 oil in my old mondeo(now my dads) whose engine I rebuilt 55,000 miles ago, there has not been any issue at all.
The fuel cleaner will be fine, just check it is "cat" friendly.

I was wondering about the amp being too much power and maybe melting some wiring or putting to much strain on the alternator? How do I know if it was meant to have a Calcium battery mate? I am thinking due to the new one being 680amp and the old one being 380amp that is an extra 300amps thus me being a bit worried it may do some damage?
The oil I have is fully synthetic 5/40...... Is fully synthetic ok in Zetec engines?
Thanks again!!

Components will only pull the current they need, excessive voltage however will damage components.
The figure you refer to is the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) the actual output of the battery is measured in AH (Ampere-Hour) this figure refers to the electrical charge that can be transferred in an hour so the higher the figure means a higher capacity battery.
I always run a Zetec on 5/30 as this is Fords recommendation, people have used different oil in the past and it's known to cause problems. As it's a 40 weight that is going to be thicker when hot than 5/30.
