When starting my st170 it's like I have to keep reving it up for a few seconds it makes a funny noise like a tractor then it goes this happens every now and again can someone please help

 

low oil or dodgy oil filter

 

Yh it could be low oil cause it's quiet low on oil at the minute just recently put a new oil filter in tho can it sill be that?

 

Let me get this right, you know its low on oil and you have not topped it up?? Are you kidding me? Oil is the most crucial thing in an engine to get right, maintain etc, it will make or break your engine. TOP IT UP NOW lol, my ST170 has an oil change ever 3months or 1000miles, its very important
