focus st no compression ....:-(
That's right I've been told that one of the covers under the car could have shattered and got stuck and knocked my timing out which would cause a lot of damage but they won't know for sure until they take the head off. ..I don't know much about engines my self so am trying to find out iff anyone else has had this problem and can it be repaired or is it a new engine job and what that would cost .....
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

if the timing belt has been disturbed you could be looking at 20 new valves and a head rebuild, you may have got lucky and only bent 10 valves. If you have bent vavles its going to cost over £1000 easily for parts and labour. Either way the head will have to come off.

a compression test tells you that you have a problem, but you probably already knew you had a problem! either way the head has to come off, get stripping!
