escort 1.8d n/a stalling cutting out whenever the clutch is depressed
as the title says whenever you slow down to a junction, pull up to stop or just travel along at 30/40 and put the clutch down the van stalls but with a quick flick of the key or selecting the right gear will bump start again with no problem will even do it at 70mph on the motorway as soon as the clutch is engaged it cuts out very annoying round town but i do bristol to cardiff every day so i wanna get it sorted before i get stuck on the side of the m4 it's a 1999 (t) 1.8d endura-de takes a while to start in the morning but it's done 126k but once it's warm it's fine and it runs fine will pull 85-90 on a m/way it's just the cutting out as soon as the clutch is engaged that is puzzling me and i'm a hgv mechanic by trade can anybody shed any light ? common faults ? i'm ruling out fuel faults as it runs perfect and starts perfect after it has stalled so no air lock or fuel running back any help would be appreciated guys
