Default using water?

Why do I have to keep topping up my water every couple of days there is no hose leaks cause I put cardboard underneath the front but the header tank is empty every couple of days checked head gasket and done a pressure test and showing no leaks its a cvh by the way?

Do a pressure test of the system.

Pressure test won't definitively show a problem, even if there is, it's a good guide that's all but not 100%.
Do a sniff test on the expansion tank, as above check the carpets as well.

Well it's either leaking it or it's getting into the combustion chambers, it may be a small split perhaps and it's only noticable when running.

mate this is what to do.. get a mate to sit in it and drive it on a ramp then get him to run it and u look underneath u will see exactly where its coming from if there a leak otherwise it could be a heater matrix or something very minor

Maybe it only leaks when up to temperature. Focus thermostats as an example are terrible for leaking but you dont notice as its only when the cars running

Tried header tank cap?

Does it start cleanly first time you start it? Or does it misfire on start up then run clean? My old Series 2 used to misfire on start up, slight leak on head gasket, water in one of the bores, took plugs out one was a nice greeny/blue colour.
