WHAT are the signs as to you thinking it's over boosting some times, r u sure it's NOT the spark plugs being blown out when under load due to wrong type etc!
only a thought m8

Maybe a problem with the amal valve? Perhaps it's intermittantly sticking, causing too much air to be bled off - anyone had trouble with them before? Or a split in one of the thin pipes from turbo, via valve, to actuator? Either of these would cause the actuator to operate at a higher boost pressure than it should. Could be the actuator itself also, split/sticking, therefore not opening wastegate properly.
normally runs ok peaks around 1.8/1.9 and holds 1.5/1.6bar but the odd time the boost goes around to 2.5 bar which then hits the boost limit
plugs are brand new harvey gibbs set the gap and fitted them, also new vacume pipe from amal valve.

I WOULDn't want mine boosting @ over 30psi any time on greens so best go and get it checked out! b4 it ends in
Can only really be amal valve, or actuator/wastegate then methinks. Get actuator tested for opening pressure. Check wastegate operating arm is moving freely with actuator rod disconnected. Could also try replacing amal valve with a bleed valve setup, even just to diagnose/eliminate amal valve as the cause.
