Aux input not working

Aux input not working
I have a 2008 Fiesta ST and have only recently tried to use the aux input socket to play an MP3 player through the stereo. In short - nothing happens when I select 'aux input' on the radio. If I crank the stereo volume WAY up (almost to maximum) I can just about hear something very faintly from the right channel only but it is certainly not listenable. I have tried two different MP3 players and two different cables but with the same result.
The car is still under warranty, well only about a month to go - is this something that would be covered by the Ford warranty?

Had a few problems with the car connector , the pins go weak and do not give a good enough connection , will probably need a new one , but to save hassle when you take car in take your MP3 player and cable in and show them and make sure you tell them that you have tried 2 different players and 2 different cables , and also checked these in another car so the only sensible thing would be the plug , try just putting a slight bit of sideways pressure on it sometimes this gets it to work and can be shown to prove your point .
