Your focus has what they call a tmap sensor that replaced the maf sensor, its located on the inlet manifold.

What problems are you having ?? have you checked the emission pipe behind the inlet manifold ( T shaped) as they have a tendency to go baggy and split causing running problems.

If no maf sensor is present, then the vehicle has a map-sensor.

Check vacuum hoses for leaks and cracks.
Exhaust completely leak free? Especially the first part where the oxygen sensor is.
If correct have the dealer read the codes and check the sensor values.

All petrol models have a MAF, Diesels have MAP, im sure it is located near the T/B, with a wiring connector coming from it?

The later black top zetec-se ones 100% don't have a MAF!

It must have the tmap sensor inside the inlet then as described above I assume, never had to look, just going by what Haynes say!

The early ones as said have a MAF, the later ones have a 'TMAP' sensor, which is located in the inlet manifold.

A faulty VSS is known to cause hesitation as well...
