bike carbs on fly by wire throttle
hi there
The mk6 fiesta uses fly by wire throttle and the only way i have seen TB's put on was converting it to cable throttle...Ive seen a kit that pumaspeed sell for the 2.0 st engine which is 2,800 for tbs, but i was hoping that bike carbs could be put onto a mk6 fiesta zetec s ( think the engine is the 1600 zetec se)
My question is the recent Yamaha R6's use fly by wire carbs so if i got a custom manifold made up and ran a after market management system such as omex 600? would i be able to use the standard fly by wire throttle. then set it up on a dyno?

Sorry if the question is abit dumb

To be honest, if your putting on TBs then there is a fair chance you are going standalone, if that is the case then a trottle cable is the best solution. Cant see any reason why you would want to keep it fly by wire?

or if you run the FBW bike carbs could you not connect the sensors up to the existing loom and run a piggy back ecu thingy?

i think it would be far easier using a throttle cable than setting up the FBW. either way u will need aftermarket management
