Default 1.8 zvh conversion n/a

most info seems to be regarding 2.1 turbo conversions

I have a existing zvh in my garage (hence using the 1800 ) and not interested in spending more money when i have most parts available .

i have a mk4 90 spec efi xr3i ,converted into estate

zvh is as follows

stripped ready for rebuild ,screw on oil filter so presumed silvertop
lightend and balanced bottom end ,crank, pistons, flywheel, clutch cover
s1 turbo mfi cylinder head ,mild polishand port ,cam unknown
new 150mm head bolts ,old ones were std 135mm
main,big bearings
new tensioner and belt
filter
std efi headgasket kit
new rings

as the engine has been running most of the usual work surely has been done ,but the car was an rs1600i running on distributer ,and i want to run it on efi ,i was speaking to someone who says it wont work unless i use efi head ,isnt there some sort of conversion plate available and any tips for rebuild etc ,i havent bought the service items yet so anywhere know to do good equipement at resonable prices

They definately exist - i've got an MFi head on my orion, and it runs an EFi inlet. Theres an 8mm thick aluminium sandwich plate that sits between the head and the inlet.

If you cant find none on ebay, theres a company called 'ferriday engineering' who sell them. Along with a variety of other conversion plates/decompression plates etc...

Think you're talking about Ł100 for a new adapter plate from them, though....
