Default Help! From IB5 to MTX75.

Hi to all!

I have an MK6 Escort 1.8 16V 115hp with IB5 gearbox. My diff broke badly yesterday... And I got an MTX75 gearbox, and gear shafts and stick for free. So my question is what mods will I need.? I thought that I will have to change my flywheel, but it seems that I can use clutch kit from Mondy 1.8 which is 220mm and uses the same flywheel as mine and MTX75 box. Any idea with the box mounts? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

When using a MTX gearbox on the escort you need a different flywheel as the clutch on the MTX escorts are 240mm.
From what i have seen all mondies use the 240mm clutch.(mk1 and mk2)
Also you have a different mount on the back side of the gearbox so if i am not mistaken you need another subframe also.
On the original subframe you can't mount the different mount or you have to weld it to it.
