step by step strip down (headgasket)
Hi chaps
Im struggling to get help on attempting to do a headgasket on my 2wd saff, my luck is usually shite ! so im trying to avoid it having to go to a garage just in case it is worse than just the headgasket gone ? As then i will be pretty much commited to them etc. So is there any step by step method documented anywhere ?
any info very much appreciated
cheers mick

If you dont know how to do the head gasket replacement in the first place, what will you do if you encounter further problems as you are working on the car?
Not having a dig, just curious really.

@Red16, mick will learn the hard way, just like the rest of us, I know I did, if he is lucky it won't cost him too much.
But seriously, as long as you take your time and just do it right it's not that hard to follow a Haynes manual. Only thing I woud say is if it says "simply" in the manual expect a world of grief.
