My 6 year old 1.4 Fiesta had a completely flat battery (cold, doesn't run much), so I recharged the battery but now the car won't turn over - not a thing! The engine light on the dash doesn't light up when I put the key in, only the oil icon lights up plus for a moment the security lock icon. The battery is giving us 11.5 volts and all the lights etc are working fine and obviously don't dim when I try and start as nothing happens!! Could there be something wrong with the ECU?

Yes it sounds possible, so you don't have parking brake light etc? It should still turn over in theory just not start.

If you disconnected battery to charge make sure all the connections are tight on the connector.

Some of them had a seperate black wire that lead from the positive to another point in the loom, this was/is secured in the main terminal housing with a connector but often gets pulled out, worth a check.
