It has a sticker that implies

Level 8 ECU
T34 Turbo
Green injectors.

Wether it actually is or not though, is anyones guess of course!

thanks anyway chip.i changed over ecus and the one with the t34 chip in it starts and runs fine but as soon i hit 4000 rpm it would back off hard a real neck breaker dose a chip have to be mapped to suit a specific turbo, if so could this mean iam not running a t34.

Chip needs to be mapped/written to suit every aspect of the engine that affects flow, so esp so in the case of a turbo change.

Stop what you are doing right now mate, and get it to a tuner, you'll end up melting your engine if you carry on and YB's are getting dear to replace!

It's deffo an L8 I can tell that by the circuitry, Sue Collins runs Collins performance with her son Martin. Get a tuner to examine the map would be the easiest way, company's like MSD keep a S/N based record of all there chips so you could of just phoned them with the S/N and they would have been able to confirm but in other cases this is not possible.

Just because it starts up and runs does NOT mean it's the correct chip, the turbo housing is critical to the software, I.E a T34 with .48 housing and .55 would require different calibrations. You need to get that chip confirmed and get it to a tuner to get the fueling etc checked out.

Re the second check 353F I am pretty sure is the check sum algorithm used.

T34 is a hybrid uprated turbo which is what most stage 3 conversions consist so most likely you have (BT Escos has same turbo but with the largest exhaust housing (.63) T3 is standard turbo on these.

Probably still is (It would have be silly to downgrade again) upgrading the turbo is a done thing when tuning as the T3 starts to run out of puff.
