My fiesta turbo has been off road for about 3months, today finally the rad got changed and all seemed OK but then when we tried to start car it turns over, seems like it wants to start but wont. theres no immobaliser to stop it, its running a T2 hybrid, straight throu magnex system, superchip. it was given a full engine rebuild in august. any ideas?

 

Any fuel in it?

 

yep, its half way between red and 1/4 of a tank. tried fuel cut off switch and also made sure superchip was in secure and no dust in it.

Can you hear the fuel pump activating when you put the ignotion on ??

sounded fine to me but im not an expert, it sounded like a normal start up but wouldnt fire up

 

I would check if your def gettin a spark if all sounds okay with fueling.. Can you smell petrol after turning it over for a bit??

 

yeh can smell petrol and spark plus were changed in august, possibly the electronit distributor?

U can test the coil to see if its workin... By testing the resitance across the terminals..

it was fine untill night car over heated and blew up its radiator. im gonna get my mate who works at prodrive to have a look, hopefully he can sort it

 

Yeah.. Thats the one a meant.. Failing that its prob the ignition control module..
