2.0 Zetec EECV management.
on EECV management, the zetec uses the 36-1 set up on the flywheel to determine crank position. Also a cam sensor is used.
Where on the flywheel is the 36-1 gap set up relative to engine position??
also on the cam sensor, what is it picking up and again what relative engine positions are these set to.
im trying to emulate crank and cam positions so i need to know what the sensors pick up and where so i can sync the two sensors correctly with each other.

The EDIS VRS pickup is positioned 90° BTDC of cylinder number one on a 4 cylinder engine.
The Cylinder Identification (aka CID) sensor identifies cylinder number one and its position varies according to whether a VRS or Hall Effect sensor is used. For a VRS pickup it is positioned at a nominal 22.5° ATDC for cylinder #1. For a Hall Effect pickup it is positioned a nominal 26° ATDC for cylinder #1.

The VRS pickup is 'passive' whilst the Hall Effect sensor is powered. When the sensor is picking up a lobe on the camshaft it's usually a VRS. The distributor replacement style sensors (e.g. small turbo Escort Cosworth) are usually Hall Effect.

I understand what you want to discuss here and I also believe that our cars use the EEC-V PCM, but it is very similar to the EEC-IV PCM. The electronic controls, sensors, input and output signals are the same.although the maps and tabular data locations may differ in PCM.

nah im still on webber management. will fit a 36-1 wheel on front of crank pulley for dash and a single toothed wheel on cam pully at angle sailorbob says.
that is correct yes. plus the introduction of OBDII and ford SCP/canbus data streams.
