Default xr3i efi problems

car has new battery and altenator
recently the car doesnt start when hot like battery is dead ,if i push it ,it will start
starts no problems when cold

is it some sort of sensor or is the engine on way out as its burning oil and it had valve stem seals 3 months ago ie compression issues ?

It sounds as if the starter motor may be getting cooked. The ERST is renowned for this problem due to the proximity between the starter and the turbo obviously this does not apply to yours. Do you just get a clicking sound?

That engine is known for the stem seals causing oil loss, you need to determine how it is burning it, I.E on the over run etc, if you done the stem seals I suspect bottom end wear perhaps.

It sounds like the battery is flat
and i suspect the rings are going due to smoke and smell from tailpipe
