hi new to site got a st170 brill car management light came on had check done cat nak fit new 1 light came on 3000 miles later went to a garage and got it plugged in not much to go on reset light came back on day later done self test with igniton on and mile button came back with p117 code fan sensor .gave aboot full last night light went out working fine now anybody now how this occured thanks

If you mean the code is P0117 then - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low

yep thats the code i have found and the thats what ive been told it is, i thought that once the code has been logged then you would have to reset the light but if it is a loose connection and is now ok that would explain the light going off.

I had an st170 for a couple of years and the ECU lights are forever coming on, not sure why it just seems to be a common fault with them. Get your self a fault code reset gadget off ebay. Well worth the 30 quid.
