I have a Mk3 TDDI which had a bit of a stutter at 2000rpm and the turbo didn't seem like it was kicking in, after trying a few things I gave up and took it to Ford.

There were no fault codes showing but they did download an update which seemed to rectify the stutter.

The car now seems to drive ok at low revs but I think it should have more power above 2200rpm, it is the only Mondeo I've driven so the only car I can compare it to is a Vectra DTI I had.

Ford say it may be the injectors, and it didn't show a fault because the injectors are mechanical, if this is the problem, can the injectors be removed and cleaned?

I'm not to familiar with diesels in this respect as I've had mainly petrols in the past.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

 

Try getting the injectors reprogramed i done loads and it does make a differance....get the numbers off the back of the injector not the sticker incase its had some replaced...

 

the injectors can be took apart and cleand ya need ta make sure what your doing and then get them reprogramed i had the same as you done all that and all is fine now
