Default More problems!!!!

Took the MK4 estate for a spin and all is not good,,it shakes violently at anything above 20 MPH,so much so the the bonnet, steering column and dash actually shake,,,got it up on stands and checked both wheels for bad buckling but all seems good,,there is also a horribly loud humming noise coming from up front that seems to go out of it when turning left(but not right),,,,,it seems to me that it is a bearing but would this also cause the shaking.

Just to add,,,its not balancing, far worse than that.

Thanks in advance for any help,,
