It would have to have the software as well, not sure if the hardware on L6 is compatiable even, L8/P8 certainly is. MSD will probably reply soon will a definate answer.

Yes but you need to revert the two wires on the TPS as they read the opposite of each other, I think that is all.

L6 will not run closed loop.

L8/P8 will run on a 2wd loom, just swap the TPS to a PF09 and revert the two outer wires.

The lambda sensor needs a live, earth, and the signal runs to pin 2.

Even if you use a L8/P8 the software will need to be closed loop enabled for it to work

As per what James says, you cant just go adding random extra sensors and hope your ecu will know what to do with them

you will need to know whats on the chip,

any L8 CAN do closed loop,

P8s should generally always be closed loop as they are adaptive, exceptions to the rule are out there that have had the closed loop disabled for various reasons though.

As I said from the start you need the CL software, the hardware needs to be compatible of supporting it, therefore you will need to have a CL chip (I think MSD can do this if you send the chip to them).

You need a L8, it will only be 'CL enabled' if the chip inside is, which brings me nicely onto saying that with a L8 you cannot use your chip you have at the moment although it is possible to convert them.

a L6 chip will run in a L8 if you take the baby board out,

This is why we have had arguments with various RS Breakers who sell L8s without the board, because without the board its simply a L6 with a few mods lol.

So I guess the 'baby board' gives more memory allowing extra features to be utilized? I know the L8 chips are double the size of the L6.
