I have been having a little bit of bother with my 06 ST.
I recently fitted a dump valve to the car, it worked fine but i discovered a hole in one of the pipes coming off the intercooler, so i bought some samco and replaced all of the turbo hoses.
After fitting i went to start my car and it seem'd like the battery had died. so i put it on a jumper pack and got it started. drove round for an hour to give the battery a charge. got the car home, quick shower, jumped back in my car, turned the key and nothing, just got that annoying clicking sound. tried to jump it off my mums car and still nothing.
My ESP system fault light came on on the way home.
I'm thinking the battery could be shaged, but after reading a few things on here, i think it could be the alternator. If it is the alternator I could get it replaced on warranty as i took out the extended warranty. but with the car now fitted with samco, dump valve and an air filter. do you think this would void the warranty?
Thank you in advance

Can nobody help ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Cars sat here on the drive and i've not a clue weather to take it back to fords or pay someone. it might not even be the alternator, could just be a flat battery.
Could just do with abit of advise.
I just feel like![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)
Had nothing but trouble with this car, first few weeks of having it i had the driveshaft, CV joint and wheel bearing go.
Then a few months later the oil separator diaphragm thingy went.
Now this lol
Any advise would be top

How have you deemed the alternator to be working? Could well be the alternator seen as they are common problems with these. The fact it starts when assisted with a jump pack shows the battery to be in a discharged state.
Jump starting will not help if the battery is that discharged, so charge the battery.
Yes as you have modified the car that will void the warranty.

I got it started and put a multi meter across the battery and it came up with 13.8v. which i have been told means the alternator is working. I have fully charge the battery and tested the cells and they are all good.
