First and foremost, Do the mk4's have an ecu? Would anyone care to inform me where it is???

And...... Does anybody know where I can find some wiring diagrams for the mk4, mfi? a read only file online would be great just need to see what i need, the loom has been butchered with allsorts of alarms and imobilisers that i'd like removed seeing as none work

Not as such no.. MFI is all mechanical in its operation.. EFI's carry a main ecu..

I cnt find any diagrams online google just keeps sending me to outdated links and other passionford threads asking for wiring diagrams, little help please

 

what is it you need to know?.. ive got the ford wiring diagram book for mk3/4 escorts so if push comes to shove i could always sort you out with a few pages

Sounds a bit cliche but have you got yaself a haynes manual as basic diagrams are in there...cheap as chips from ebay too

 

I went to halfords for a haynes today couldnt find one! I'm going to want to re wire my fuel pump circuit and wanted to check what wires were what as the old imobbs and alarms were everywhere

Just some of the stuff I removed today

 

halfords wont have 1 on the shelf as "its to old"..

 

google it you can find the wiring dia on there had to do it for a rb26dett (r34)

 

googles just giving me links to newer escorts and old threads with out of date links to pdfs
