Default cossie very sluggish in low revs

hi guys wondered if u had any ideas, im running a low comp bottom end, standard head, stage 3 dark green etc, and a t04e turbo with external wastegate, basically im trying to get to the bottom of why at the bottom end off boost the car is really sluggish and unresponsive in low revs but when it builds up and gets on to boost its perfect and the power smoking up the back wheels, and i know before anyone says about turbo cars, im well used to cossies, rs turbos and bm turbos. fuel pressure is about 3.5 bar, afr is pretty much spot on, ive got a 3.08 diff, so i know its not exactly short ratio, but its a pain in the arse to drive at the moment, wondered if anyone had any ideas to check, its been like this since i bought the engine and only just got the car running reccently

maybe you need to take it to a tuner so they can map it get everything set up.

yeah thats true, but all they really do is just set up the fuelling and ive been doing that with the screw on the ecu and the wide band to get stoichiometric

maybe you need to richen it up a bit, or better yet get it set up properly at a decent tuner!

I think you need a new remap. I think that a couple of degrees adv won't do any harm at low rpm. It has nothing to do with the fueling. In your case adding more fuel may be worse unless the car has some sort of missfire as soon as you touch the throttle.

livemapped is the way to go mate ,have you changed the ecu to match the new engine ,or is it the same ecu you used on your old one ?

There's some VERY odd ideas here, let's picture the scene you have the laggiest turbo in history, you then add even higher gearing, which is too high as std to be honest, and then wonder why it's sluggish!!
You cannot in a month of sundays set up the fuelling twiddling with the screw unless everything else is right, it could despite what has been said need more fuel, same as adding more ignition if that isn't the problem could kill it.
It could also be as simple as the fuel filter is clogged, had this myself on my car formerly owned by two cossie specialists, one of whom spent money on Interpro's rollers to try to get to the bottom of 167bhp max output fort a stage 1(GGR), a real shame the car was sold to me cheap due to engine fault, fixed in 10 minutes by replacing the marked and dated in marker pen 10-12 year old fuel filter, cured the very on/off power.
Do a service inc fuel pump rewire and filter then get to someone who can change settings inside the ecu, or at least do a fuelling check.

The T04E if a real one, aint that big, its really T34 sized tbh, we find the T34 maps are actually quite close!

bigturbokev have you always had the 3.08 diff or have you just fitted it with the new engine?

well basically the engines not in a cossie its in a bmw e36, so its an m3 diff for the 5 speed 3.0L, ill give it a little mni service, im definately gonna get it set up but currently there no tax or mot on it, which will be getting done in a couple of weeks, the only reason i was pissing around with the fuelling was because it was running like 11.5-1 AFR even after the car has warmed up and come off the warm up enrichments. and it its got a .63 rear housing on the turbo

does it have an air mass meter like the the small turbo'd cossie as thats common and would seem really slow

You could have told us that from the start Bigturbokev . Well you aspect to be a bit sluggish with a 3.08 rear end, I think it's normal. Is the AFR 11.5 on idle or when under boost?
