Is there any short shifter that fits on a ford escort mark 4 1989 model ?

B&M do 1 very short and precise changes
no long avaible but they come up for sale now & again but not cheap

 

Ive heard puma 1 fits, but with minimal mods. Altho ive tried this and the 2 are nothing alike and the pumas doesnt self centre into neutral...?

Can any1 elaborate on this?

 

Rally Designs do one, Puma one is an option but as above not centering as thats inside the gearbox on IB5's.

 

does the b&m self center, as mine is alittle sloppy to do so, is this normal?

 

got a puma linkage in the track car ,its great and got it for a tenner ,have to trim the floor a little

 

Done some thinking about this, my local tuner "Rallytec" is a Series 2 specialist and fabricates his own quickshift for the mk4 escort/series2 turbo from original ford linkages that self centre - i have no idea on price but worth a fone call?!
