Trying to find out what brakes are on my Sierra, ordered brakes which came wrong anyway but further investigation and can't find brakes to match the old sizes. I had ordered xr4i brakes as I presumed that's what was on it but here's the sizes does anyone know?
Front 260mm x 35mm
Rear 250mm x 25mm
Thanks
Anzie

Neither of those sizes are fitted on any ford at all.
Are your brakes standard ?, what model sierra is it ?.
Sierras range from 240mm X 13mm, 240mm X 24mm, 260mm X 24mm, 278mm X 24mm, 283 X 24mm, on the fronts, to 253mm X 11mm, 273mm X 10mm, 273mm X 20mm on the rear.

My mate is doing the work to it and has maybe measured wrong so is going to re check tomorrow. The diameters seem to be the same as the Xr4i 2.8 brakes so I have a feeling he's just measured wrong for the other sizes. Its a Sapphire Azura with 24v v6 Cosworth in it and obviously doesn't have standard brake system as Azura's have drums.
Azura's have drums, just like 2.8i xr4i then!!
XR 4x4 had rear disc, 253mm, xr4i 2.8i had drums at the rear, and had 260mm x 24mm front, with single pot caliper, can't remember drum size but was markedly wider than std drums.

So it looks like I have front brakes to fit an xr4i 2.8 and rear brakes to fit the xr4x4 2.8?
The xr4x4 also used 260mmX24mm front but slightly different off set on the discs, basically shallower discs closer to the wheel than the 2wd.
If you tell me the height of the discs I can look it up to see what you have 2wd or 4wd.

When you say height isn't that just like the diameter?
