Default Esc cos bt boost

Just bought a bt escort cosworth. Car is standard. When driving the boost sometimes only goes to around 5-6psi then other times its fine but drops off. When at lower boost level it will sometimes stutter a bit. I have fitted another actuator and went ok to start but then problem came back. I am thinking along the lines of a map sensor or amal valve. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Cheers

Kenny

sounds like amal valve could be playing up. if thats ok check you have 12v going to amal valve as this caused me no end of trouble
