Default Any CANBUS Experts?

To say that im at my wits end is an understatement, first post on this forum so go easy on me eh??

Ok, basically this is what i've completed so far...

Full Touchscreen Sat Nav retrofitted to an 02 Mondeo.
Everything works as it should, including rear seat entertainment and bluetooth/voice control.

The issue is the speed signal. On my car, this signal is sent from a VSS sender on the gearbox to the ECU. The ECU then puts this information onto the high speed CANBUS so that it can be accessed by whatever needs it, namely the Instrument Cluster.

The Sat Nav also needs this signal, but at present, its not getting through.

On the facelift cars, 04 onwards, the speed signal is sent directly from the wheel sensors, via the ABS which has an additional CAN chip in it. This then goes to the ECU as before and is distributed on the High Speed CAN.

The climate control module on the mondeo is classed as the 'gateway' between the High Speed CAN and the Middle Speed CAN, the latter being used for the audio and navigation only.

As my car doesnt generate the speed signal via the ABS i thought this would be the issue although it may still be the case. I installed an instrument cluster from an 06 plate car and it worked without issue, leading me to the conclusion that this signal MUST be generic between the 2 variants.

I've tried everything and checked everything on the wiring side to try and sort this out but to no avail.

If anyone here knows a little more about the complexities of the CANBUS and where i may be going wrong please get in touch.
