Default Crossflow rebuild

hey guys couple of questions about the crossflow as the piston rings were knackered;

1. It has been oversized to 1740cc which set of piston rings shall it need? Read on ebay that +090 does 1700 overbored engine, will these be ok?

2. Also where is best place for big end, small end, full gasket set & a water pump?

3. This my first rebuild so may have a lot more questions lmao finally had the balls to give it a go on my brothers engine

As you need to strip the engine to do the rings wait until you have the bottom end apart so you can see what over size pistons they are.
Most engine bits can be bought from many places like burtons, or a engine machine shop may be cheaper.

Not on the x flow, std ford bolts will be fine re used, just where the oil supply hole is in the head the stud/nut either side of this give an extra 15ftlb and it stops the oil soaking through the gasket and making the corner of the head wet all the time.

must admit after getting stuck in taking it out and stripping it down am begging to like the xflow aswell, I thought with timing chain etc it would be a lot harder and more complicated than it is, currently sanding down the block for fresh paint to go with new components but gota sort out rs first maybe have a look at new thread see if you know my problem

You can get 1870cc using mix and match parts combo from other makes on the std block.
