There is an amp gauge fitted in my car but not wired up - how do i wire this up ?
It has two terminals marked "BAT" and "ALT"
From this I assume i wire the "BAT" to the positive on the battery but as for the "ALT" do I wire this to a negative terminal on the alternator ? or am i completly wrong ?
Any help appreciated
cheers

Sorry Martin - my electrics knowledge is probably not what it should be - can you give me an idiots guide as to where is should wire these two terminals ? - the gauge gives a +60 amp to -60 amp reading.
You would have to cut a live wire and put one wire from the meter to one side and then the other to the other side so that it's going THROUGH the meter (Series) like a switch.
