Im running a 200 block in my 2wd cosworth, with the original 4x4 dipstick tube and dipstick. because im running with a 2wd sump, i need to calculate the appropriate max an min marks on thhe 4x4 dipstick.
If possible, can someone with a 2wd measure the length of:
a) dipstick tube from top to where it enters the block.
b) length from the 'max' mark to the start of the handle
c) length from the 'min' to the start of the handle.
This way I can compare the measurements to the 4x4 ones and work out the 2wd sumps max and min marks on my 4x4 dipstick....... i think

I posted these up for someone about 4-6 weeks ago for a 2wd dipstick and dipstick tube, just do a search, it's not mega critical so long as it has enough, from empty 3.5 litres fills the sump and the shallow "tray" area to the front of the sump before the main flat bit, I filled one up in the week to find out.
3 litres filled the sump bowel itself and came to the top of the sump bowel area, so well above the baffle, in use some will remain at the top of the engine and in other parts, I'm just sticking 4 litres in, the in use level can be checked with a clear tube connected to the drain plug.
