Default Mk4 Fiesta Stoppers..

I'm anchoring after some better breaks on my little Fezza without having to buy aftermarket kits.
Any ideas for a reasonably cheap Ford item off something like a rs2000 maybe? All recomendations will be appreciated.

Ben.

What size wheels you got?
mk5 zetec s brakes are a direct fit,
I believe mk6 st 280mm brakes are almost a direct fit, need new lines iirc.
also mk3 300mm mondeo brakes also fit with st170 disks...

mk5 zetec s brakes are your best option then, as I doubt 280mm st's will fit. Unless you pick up a set of 15s? Can get zs wheels for like £100-200 then you can fit st brakes

260 grooved with decent pads, ebc yellowstuff, braided lines will make a massive difference.

i put si brakes from a 3.5 i was breaking, did the trick loads better than the unvented jobs
think frst etc are the same fitment, if not look for 1.7 puma, will be vented etc and easy to upgrade disks and pads when needed

Does the ZS have discs all around?
Thing is, I've just had my steelies painted, cost me a bit so won't be upgrading wheels for a while unless a good deal comes up

no, zs only has 260mm front disks. You won't need disks on the back of a mk4 unless you've 2litre'd it tbh. They're more hassle than they're worth on fiestas.

mk1 mondeo 2L only has 260 front discs and they are a lot heavier, same size as my xr4i had(till I cossied it!!), can't see you'd have a problem with 260 and the right pads/lines.

ZS/Puma brakes will fit under 14" steelies, yes.
