Unhappy Help me please

Hi, I have just joined this site with the hope that some kind person can point me in the right direction.
I have just bought a Ford Ka and have noticed an oil leak underneath. I am told that it is hydraulic and not engine and is probably from my power steering system. Can anybody advise how to check where the leak is and possible remedies (apart from taking it to a local garage etc etc). The car is a T reg.
many thanks

basically if you wanna do it yourself you will have to clean the oil off completely while remembering where the worst or heaviest saturation is and then start the engine and get someone to turn the steering back and forth for a bit while you watch the area for leaks... if its a small leak you might have to check it after every time u drive it to find exactly the area,, its probably a hose or it could be the pump,,

Smell it or look at the colour. You should know easily enough.

As said above, stick your head uner and look for the wet patch
