I have a 1973 ford with a 390 in it and will be swapping in a 351 from the early 80's. Can I use the same bell housing or will I need to find one for a 351?

 

Need a lot more detail is the 390 a FE gen 1 or 2 ?, is the cleveland an "M" ?, if so the answer is defo no, as the M series cleveland uses the same bolt pattern as the small block, which is also the same as some V6 ford also!!
