just wondering if anyone could shed some light on a friends focus st, he has a milltek stainless exhaust and sport cats, has an uprated intercooler but unsure of make... it has graham goode filter mod, and has a bluefin stage 3, lately it peaks near the red and drops back to 3/4 of the way on boost gauge, at around 5000 revs it drops off more to half way and doesnt pull that well, we plugged in a scan gauge today and noticed the charge air was reaching 29-30c, ambient was 14c and damp, is this normal??? any help or ideas would be appreciated.

 

Do these suffer from heat summit or other, my mates focus rs was doin the same when it got to a certain temp the bhp and boost dropped off he had to have a new intercooler to cope with the boost. Pro Alloy cooler he had. Not sure if this is the same but thats my 2p (prob wrong )

 

i just found out that it is a pro alloy intercooler, could a boost leak cause high temps and dropping of boost???
