New discs and pads or using old ones? How tight is the handbrake? When you jack up the car does the rear wheel spin freely?

Hmmm, I'm not an expert on the hydraulics of the braking system but that sounds like a master cylinder/brake servo issue, i.e. it doesn't bleed the pressure off after the pedal is released, could be totally wrong mind you, but if it were me that's what i'd be checking.

make sure caliper housing is clean where rear brake pads sit, check if u hav any kinks in ur brake pipes usuall couse check if ur wheel bearings isnt 2tight if they dnt turn freely,or bleed brake system air could be in pipes.
