Default Nuts question

Should the "nut" holding the bearing and brakedrum (in the rear of my MK6) be torqued to a specific tightness or does one just tighten it TIGHT?

Thanx guys

250 to 270Nm, or FT if you haven't got a torque wrench that will go to that torque.
