Default Focus and Mondeo Injectors

Hello folks,

Do the Focus and Mondeo (mk1 & 2) 2.0ltr Zetec injectors both have the same flow rates? Can the Focus injectors be succesfully used with the Mondeo ECU and loom?

Carrying out an engine conversion on a mk3 escort and have just obtained a 2.0ltr Zetec Focus inlet manifold only to find that I can't fit my Mondeo injectors and fuel rail to it. I'm hoping I can run the focus injectors from the Mondeo loom and ECU.

Thanks for any help,

Smiler.

Worth a try I suppose but I think I'll be inundated with all sorts of rubbish before I get to what I want.

Wow, that's a prety comprehensive list! Sadly at first glance it looks like there may not be any info for my injectors onthere. But that's only assuming that they are Bosch injectors and without checking part numbers though.

It's a very usefull page though and one that I have book marked.

Cheers.

silvertop and blacktop zetec injectors are not interchangeable. they all have roughly the same flow rate as far as i know (including the 1.8)

the blacktop fuel rail and injectors are better than the silvertop IMO because you can easily buy bigger ones off the shelf, whereas with silvertop injectors you have to use jap injectors and their multiplugs spliced onto your loom.

Thanks for that, that makes sense. As I intend to sell tha car I'll keep things simple and hunt out a silver top 1.8 Escort inlet manifold and use that.

Thanks very much.

Smiler.
