help needed my xr4x4 steering wheel shakes when braking i have jacked up the front of the car and turned the wheels around while the missus put her foot on the brakes slightly but could not feel any warp spots on the disk its not easy to turn the front wheels at speed being 4x4 drive so i may not have picked up any warping on the disks what eles could it be.

 

Almost defo warped discs, but check also the bush in the bulkhead as if this is worn it will make the shake much worse allowing more movement, they are around £3-£4 for a new bulkhead bush and easy to fit.
Best thing to do is get a dial gauge on the front discs, or if old/worn just replace.
