Hi, just got a P100 with XR4i 2.8i rnning gear and the bloody thing keeps cutting out when hot and not starting again.
I've changed the fuel relay for a different problem but this has no stopped this issue -
Is it more likley to be the crappy auto choke or something else?

It starts fine in the cold but not after about 5 minitues of driving, need to leave it for 10 / 15 min till it starts again, sounds like the battery's flat when you turn it over. Then, it'll just start fine.

I have disconnected the cold start and what I think is the ECU temp sensor and it seems to run better.

I suspect the timing is out a bit, so do a dizzy swing, a slow starter esp if any kicking back ?, points to too far advanced, but swing for best setting then check co, and adjust if necessary, the 2.8 is totally mechanical no ecu it could also just be a lows et idle speed so raise a bit, few things to think about.
