Default cvh timing

hi all
hope someone can help
when setting the timing on a mfi erst s2 chipped running a bar fm/ic at 12 degrees btdc with vacum hose removed and inlet blocked at 850 rpm ,when i reconnect ecu hose the revs increase a little and the timing mark moves to 16 degrees btdc at idle is this normal ?
