saff indicators doing my head in
anyone help ? my indicators are not working on my car , when i turn on idicator it rarely but sometimes does work , but most of the time i hear a buzzing out of the flasher unit , my hazards work fine , alto the hazard light on dash does not flash , i changed the flasher unit for a known working one and it is doing the exact same ?? does anyone know what might be up with it cheers lads
I've had this problem very recently,Clean the connections on the rear lights with some sandpaper and the fuses. My indicators would work sometimes after putting the hazards on.See if that sorts it out
cheers man , i have all the lights working perfect when i turn on the hazards its just 1 time out of fifty times the indicators work the rest of the time the flasher units just scream there heads off ??
What he said, all the indicator lecky goes through the hazzard switch, if these are never used they jam up when sudeenly they are and cause all sorts of problems.
Easy, but FIDDLY to clean take apart the hazzard bit let it swim in parrafin/diesel or wd40, blow dry, then spray liberally with furniture polish containing silicone, or if you can get some beeswax fill the switch contact area with this best stuff ever, done right it will never give another rproblem.
